Title: Reporter

Organization: Daily Utah Chronicle

Hours: Full and part-time

We're hiring part-time writers who write on an assortment of subjects and full-time writers who focus on a specific subject like politics or campus life.

A part-time reporter writes 1-2 news articles a week. We assign part-timers articles or they can pitch your own ideas for articles. They are compensated $20 per article. The job requires a commitment to learning and improving and a high degree of communication. Our writers can come and go from the office as they please, but we encourage working in the office to help improve your skills.

Full-time writers work four days out of the week and earn $35 per story. They are allowed more independence and are expected to cover a specific subject, or beat.

Provide a resume and a few writing samples if you are interested.
