Organization: KUEN/The Utah Education Network
Hours: 15-19 hrs/week. This position has flexible working hours during normal business hours. Some travel for on location video shoots may be required. Pay 10.00 - 12.00
Duties: Prepares media for the statewide digital media service – eMedia. This includes digitizing, encoding, adding captions and cataloging the media. The production assistant will also produce educational video content for use on UEN-TV and online.
-Catalog and maintain media asset records within the digital asset management system.
-Capture and encode media files according to established standards and workflows.
-Edit, synchronize and attach text captions to digital video files.
-Create promotional, station interstitials and short educational videos for UEN-TV
-Support other Instructional Services staff as assigned
-Edit and publish audio podcasts
Skills: Must have experience with the following systems/applications:
-Final Cut Pro
-Photoshop
-MacOS
-Must be able to lift/carry 40 lbs
Prefer University of Utah undergraduate student seeking a degree in Communications or a related field plus one year of related experience is preferred. Candidate should be highly organized, pay attention to detail and creative.
