Title: Instructional Media Services Video Production Internship

Hours:
The candidate selected for this paid internship must commit to 12-18 hours per week for one semester, and are eligible to receive two or three credit hours to fulfill Communication Department internship requirements. Work hours can be arranged to allow most students to maintain a regular class schedule for the semester.

Duties:
The selected Campus Video Services intern will assist in a variety of duties as a Camera Operator to shoot lectures, traditional courses, special events and departmental projects; and also assist in preparing that footage for streaming or various hard media presentation formats. Intern will also assist in the production process of live distance education courses via interactive video conferencing (IVC), participate in weekly IVC scheduling coordination meetings, help with digital video editing, new-media production efforts, multimedia creation, media duplication and live audio events.

Intern will also observe and participate in administrative/logistical aspects associated with educational media production. In addition, intern will complete several small personal media-related projects, as well as an internship paper.


Skills:
Applicants must have an interest in video production. Related production experience is preferred but not mandatory in that this is a learning experience; however, initiative to learn digital production equipment is expected.
