Deseret News Business Intern

The Deseret News/Deseret Digital Media is looking for a full-time intern(or a couple part-timers) to focus on business and financial topics. The ideal applicant will have a background in economics or finance and be a strong writer. A journalism background is not required. We're looking for someone who is resourceful, enjoys data and can get to the point quickly.The position will focus on finding business trends, scouring financial and government reports and interviewing local executives to show why the news matters. Really, we want someone who knows what's going on in finance and economics (in Utah and the U.S.). MS Excel and Bloomberg Terminal experience is a plus. And yes, we pay.
