Position Reports To: Smith's Producer/Director & Communications Manager

Position Summary: Assists in creation of Smith's TV productions while performing associated administrative duties. While learning, intern may be assigned to help script, shoot and edit live or on-demand programs.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Follow overall creative direction for Smith's TV programming as established by the Producer/Director and within budgetary guidelines.
  • Follow methodologies for development, production, and delivery of Smith's TV programming as established by the Producer and within budgetary guidelines.
  • Provide assistance to Producer/Director and Communications Manager as needed during scriptwriting, on shoots, during edits, and with administrative duties.
  • Expedite the post-production process by logging and digitizing footage.
  • Operate teleprompter when required.
  • Enter field tapes and masters into archive system.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

College juniors or seniors familiar with Macintosh computer systems, related software and beginning video production.

Desired Previous Job Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with Photoshop, Final Cut Pro and After Effects.
  • Retail store experience
