Organization: KCPW-FM Public Radio (88.3 and 105.3 FM)
Hours: Need to be available all day, at least two days per week
Duties:
- Researching bills
- Gathering and editing sound bites via interviews and legislative pod-casts
- Writing short, succinct news stories using sound bites
- Possibly voicing wraps or performing interviews for air
- Majoring in Mass Communications with a preference for those studying Journalism
- Completed the writing for Radio Class or an equivalent
- Familiarity with the state's legislative process is preferable but not required
- Preferable working knowledge of Adobe Audition editing software
- Must have available transportation, as they will work at the station's studios at the Downtown Salt Lake City Library and remotely at the Capitiol
