Organization: Cancer Wellness House:
We provide a variety of free services to patients diagnosed with cancer and their family members. Theses services are designed to complement any treatment they are currently receiving and increase quality of life. We offer classes in yoga, pilates, jin shin jytsu, meditation, hypnosis, Book Club, and Journaling. We also offer one on one services such as massage, Therapeutic Touch, reiki and cranial sacral therapy. We have been in existence since 1997 and are the only program of it's kind offering support, connection and healing to those dealing with cancer.
The other part of what we do are social events, such as holiday parties, large and small fundraising events, and community contact through social service fairs. We are searching for an intern through the Communications department who would bring their excitement, education and creativity to help us manage these functions.
Hours: 10 and 15 hours per week.
Qualifications: Senior in Communications.
