Organization: Social Capital Magazine
Hours: 6-18 hours per week
There are long-term positions available for the right person in early 2011, $25K+ Part-time, Flexible Schedule.
Duties:
Editorial Interns for the Magazine have opportunities to work in all phases of magazine editorial work including:
- Assisting in article management and development
- Preparing manuscripts for publication by editing and rewriting
- Participate in staff meetings and discussions for planning and development of magazine issues
- Writing and conducting interview and proofreading, depending on the Intern's skills and goals.
Skills:
- Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student in an accredited college or university, or they must have recently finished a degree from an accredited college or university.
- Applicants must also be available, at their own expense, for possible in-person interviews at our Salt Lake City location.
- Strong writing, revising, copy editing, and proofreading skills
- Strong computer skills, with experience in InDesign desired
- Ability to give careful attention to detail and maintain the highest level of accuracy
- Ability to work well with people and present an image of professionalism
- Interest in the subjects and material
