PAID INTERNSHIPS that give students four months of experience in editorial and publishing work.

Organization: The LDS Church Curriculum Department

Duties: There will be seven internships each semester: one each for the Liahona, the Ensign, the New Era, the Friend, General Editing, News and Events, and Prophets and Apostles Speak Today.

On Friday, January 27, at 2 p.m., we'll be holding an informational meeting at the Church Office Building in Salt Lake City, Utah. The internship applications should be posted on LDS.org that same day and will be due by January 30th. During the informational meeting, we will discuss:

* The kind of work experience a student can expect to gain during an internship

* The application process and associated deadlines

* Application and portfolio tips

We'll also answer any questions students may have about the internships.

Please note that these internships are available only to those who are currently enrolled as students or who will have graduated six months or less prior to the start of their internship.

Those wishing to attend should notify me (at perkeyjj@ldschurch.org) by Thursday, January 26, at 5 p.m. so that I can prepare visitor passes and obtain security clearance for them. Those who are unable to attend but still wish to obtain information about the positions may contact me at the same address.

All interns are expected to maintain a high-quality work ethic as they would with any other employer.
