2011-2012 KUED-TV INTERNSHIPS IN PUBLIC TELEVISION (PRODUCTION)
There are two internships available within the Production Department of KUED.
-The first position will have an EDITORIAL EMPHASIS, with the intern spending time researching, writing, and working with producers to create, manage and assemble content for long-format television programs.
-The second position will primarily focus on TECHNICAL AND CRAFTaspects of long-format television production, including field/studio/post audio and video production.
Duration: The internship will cover the academic semester schedule of the University of Utah. After the selection process, the intern will be scheduled to work up to eighteen hours per week with the internship ending the week prior to final exams. (Flexibility in hours is required and will also be allowed.)
Requirements: The successful applicant will be a University of Utah student in good standing. Applicants from all academic departments are encouraged to apply, with first preference given to undergraduate students. Experience in non-linear editing systems, video cameras, computer graphics, data base management and advanced word processing is a distinct asset.
THIS IS A COMPENSATED INTERNSHIP
This internship is also eligible for academic credit and/or to prepare an upper division student for professional expectations.
