KUED television is pleased to announce that four internships will be available to
University of Utah students interested in a sixteen week intensive internship experience
with one of the nation’s leading public television stations. Specifics of the program are:
• Four different positions are available. Two in production, one in public relations,
and one in web design.
• Applicants must apply for a specific position. For details, please see the
descriptions below.
• Applicants must be willing to work 18 hours per week during the semester
(hours are flexible)
• Successful applicants will receive 3.0 credit hours for the semester through the
Department of Communication (Comm 3610/4190)
• Interns selected will receive a new Apple® MacBook Pro computer for their use
during the internship. Upon successful completion of the Internship requirements, the
student keeps the computer. *
• Applicants must be a University of Utah student in good standing. Students from
all academic departments
WEB INTERN
Assist the KUED webmaster with daily website maintenance and data entry. Assist in
composing and sending out KUED E-Newsletter. Develop landing page designs from
templates. Work with other departments to update web pages. Assist with new media and
social networking via the web, email, Facebook, twitter, etc. A solid understanding of
web technologies, HTML and CSS preferred. Familiarity with Mac and Adobe Suite
preferred. Familiarity with Open-source software, especially Drupal. Skills with
Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver and Graphic Design desired.
