Organization: The Utah Clean Cities Coalition
Hours:The intern would be expected to work 30-35 hours per week, on social media, public relations, and event planning activities. Preferred candidates would be able to continuing work through the following school year, at 15-25 hours per week.
Duties:
- · Maintain and update social media websites
- · Write blog entries, newsletters, and draft press releases
- · Represent UCCC at events
- · Respond to public inquires as required
- · Coordinate events with the government and public
- · Track media articles on the coalition
- · Research prospective media or speaking opportunities
- · Calling clients for events and RSVPs
- · Creating reports as needed
- · Current or newly graduated student at a college or university.
- · Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are a must.
- · Comfort with a wide variety of communications tools is a must
- · Demonstrated experience with social media tools (Twitter, Facebook, Blogger, YouTube, etc)
- · Strong computer and multimedia skills (Microsoft Office, Web applications, etc)
- · Must be a strong self starter
- · Must be willing to submit to a drug and background test, in order to work in the office

· Payment of $12 / hour as an independent contractor
