Hours:20 hours a week - including day, night, and weekend shifts.
Duties:
- Responsible for reporter assistance, news gathering, news writing for television and web, production assistance, and production of a daily web cast.
- Assist the ABC 4 Sports department in reporting and producing sports content for dissemination on television and the Internet.
- Outstanding writing skills
- Be familiar with AP print style
- Have a working knowledge of broadcast journalism techniques, journalism law, and media ethics.
- General knowledge of web-based software, Photoshop, HTML video editing and other multi-media skills are helpful.
- Present yourself in a professional manner, work fast and meet deadlines, and possess interpersonal skills required to work well within a team.
