Mormon Channel Internship/Volunteers

Duties:
Reporters help gather audio for the Mormon Channel using hand-held audio recorders. Material gathered which meets content and quality specifications will be aired. Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and previous interviewing experience. Access to hand held audio recorder a plus.
Awareness Campaign Volunteers help spread the word about the Mormon Channel and gain experience with non-profit promotions. Assignments will be to find ways to get the word out about our widget, Facebook fan page, and website using social networking as well as traditional marketing methods. Requirements: Education or experience in marketing. Access to a computer and the internet.
Researchers assist a producer with researching content for current as well as new programming. Topics range from answering gospel questions to researching the world economy and state of affairs when temples were built. Requirements: Access to a computer and the internet. Interest and experience in research and writing.
Editors help edit material for the Mormon Channel either their own equipment or, pending ProTools qualifications, at the Mormon Channel editing bays at the Motion Picture Studio in Provo. Requirements: Previous editing audio experience.
Skills:
All interns and volunteers must be temple worthy members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. These positions are unpaid and do not include benefits. There are, however, the benefits of working on meaningful projects as well as building a resume with practical experience. Material which meets quality specifications will be aired on radio.lds.org as well as on all of Bonneville's HD radio stations. Hours are flexible and may fluctuate depending on volunteer schedule and Mormon Channel workload.
